If that sounds like you...
There's a spot waiting for you inside our program.
Are you ready to unlock your strategic SUPERPOWERS, and REDISCOVER yourself, so you can agily and confidently MEET THE MOMENT (and every moment after)?
You don't have to martyr yourself.
Over years of study and trial and error with countless systems, experts, and coaches, April has distilled the most useful, the most healing, the most do-able practices, mindsets, and tools into a single, memorable framework.
Our clients study and practice of April's proprietary S.H.E.M.A. Processes & System – a suite of tools, processes, and frameworks that, in the words of one of our practitioners, gives you a superpower: the power to navigate nearly anything.
The S.H.E.M.A. Process assists you in accessing and refining your superpower because it is kryptonite for fear. Knowing you have the tools–and what it takes–to handle nearly *anything* is the antidote for the fear that you can’t handle *it.* And, since you sometimes need healing from what you handled, S.H.E.M.A. works beautifully as a complement to other healing modalities. It may help you to crystalize what you need, as well.
It's time to fall (back) in love with your work & life.
You want to live your values.
You can.
And you don't have to suffer to do it.
What you really need is:
- A set of practices to ground you when things get weird
- An understanding of what's behind and underneath intense feelings, thoughts, and behavior
- The discernment to know what is urgent, what is important, and what is neither
- Capacity to access, refine, and leverage what you've been conditioned to ignore
- A system that affirms, supports, and integrates all of you⏤in all of the spaces and roles you inhabit
If you're ready to stop spinning your wheels and start living the life⏤and making the impact⏤you were meant to, or that you dream or sense is possible...This program is designed for you.
We have created and curated a suite of tools that allow you to transform obstacles into opportunities while rediscovering your best you through...
✔️ Personalized coaching that unconditionally assumes your goodness (think: freedom to learn from mistakes, move past stuckness, and feel supported the whole time)
✔️ Hands-on support (regular group calls and 1:1s). We don't hand you a membership site login and send you on your way
✔️ Rigorous but Compassionate Instruction that integrates lessons, frameworks, and best-practices curated from psychology, anthropology, sociology, and other disciplines
✔️ Community + collaboration individualism is not the way toward collective liberation. We need and are needed by one another.
Picture it...
You're confident in your own capacity
to handle what comes, because you understand yourself and the situation
You feel connected and supported
when pursuing social justice goals (instead of isolated and overwhelmed!)
Your joy and well-being are the norm
Not optional, a nice-to-have, if we get around to it.
with the Grounded & Growing experience, it's all within reach. AND...it's closer than you think.
It's time to say goodbye to:
- Sacrificing yourself for the greater good
- Wringing your hands on the sidelines because you don't know what to do (next)
- Beating yourself up because you aren't doing more/better/enough
Will you see outstanding results if you apply what we teach? YES.
Will your life, leadership, and well-being improve as you practice and metabolize what we teach? OF COURSE.
Will you be pleasantly surprised as you try S.H.E.M.A. practices on and notice you can increasingly pivot, and more consistently & confidently navigate challenges? NO DOUBT!
If you're ready to be the leader, change-maker, and radiant human being you were meant to be ⏤ then we're for you.

IS GROUNDED & GROWING RIGHT FOR YOU?
Are you ready to stop feeling stuck and start living into your best you?
Grounded & Growing teaches you how to recognize and account for the hidden dynamics that show up in your and others’ behavior, thoughts, and feelings.
You’ll be able to name and face what has you spinning your wheels and frustrated you’re going nowhere.
Instead of telling yourself or others to “get over it,” you’ll actually address old and new hurts so that you can move past them.
You’ll deepen your connections with loved ones and find greater ease in your interactions with colleagues, neighbors, and friends–especially across lines of difference.
In short, Grounded & Growing will make you a better leader, partner, parent, and friend; it will make you a more effective change-agent, ally, comrade, or accomplice; and it will leave you feeling more centered, more capable, more confident, more content.
If any of this resonates, Grounded & Growing is for you.

More praise for Grounded & Growing:
"I have been so heartened by the mindful positivity that is possible when putting some of the practices I learned into place. I tend, especially in recent years, to default to negativity, self-criticism, and hopelessness when trying to progress my own justice work.
The tools from our sessions together have been helpful in creating new frames for myself."
- Congregational rabbi & social justice leader
"...I think so many of us are already committed to social justice and activism. Grounded & Growing provided an abundance of tools to help further my work in those areas, but it also provided a framework for me to figure out whether my presence is useful in any given situation. Am I needed here or do I just want to *be* needed? This program has given me so many things to take out into the world - as an ally and when requesting allyship from others."
"A complete method to gain access to one's own thoughts and feelings. A way to process past experiences and/or trauma so that the experience can be used for growth and moving forward. Briefly, a shorthand for how to deal with life."
"This is the education in being and staying human we've been missing all along!"
Joelle B., Organizational & DEI Consultant
"Ways of working to remove one's own hindrances and step forward into authentic engagement with other people."
"A framework for grounding oneself in order to show up as our best and most liberated selves in moments of conflict, especially across lines of difference."
