A note from April:

Friends,

I have created a resource to address the patterns I have seen play out over and over since the summer of 2020. I saw folks rushing to hire Jews of Color who too often have insufficient supports once they’re on the job; holding one-off workshops that make a splash for a couple of weeks but don’t fundamentally change anything; or making grand statements and then promptly forgetting them—or worse, back-pedaling when someone complains.

As the Alter of Novardok says, "the problem with people is that they want to change overnight and want a good night's sleep, too." Making culture more inclusive, equitable, and just can't be done with a single transaction. It is a transformation, and transformations take time.

That's why Tracie and I created Racial Justice Launch Pad. Lasting change is more like flying a plan than it is like buying a coffee, so we created a year-long program to give Jewish communal leaders the time, tools, and supports they need to do the essential and worthwhile work of internal and institutional change.

We need you
in this work.

Dismantling racism and building communities fueled by true belonging takes commitment, tenacity, co-conspirators, and reliable guides.

You don't have to do this work on your own.
